I am a Director for a Parrot Rescue Charity called Parrotcare.
Charity No: 1137240 PARROT CARE AND REHABILITATION LIMITED.
Our Patrons: Stephanie Booth (Welsh based business lady and hotelier), Freddie “Parrotface” Davies (Actor/Comedian), Nils & Amy Lofgren (American Rocker and Campaigner)
Our aim is to take in unwanted, abused and ill birds with the hope that one day they may be rehabilitated and rehomed into a loving family environment. Many of the birds that come into the rescue have been subjected to years of both physical and mental abuse.
The reason I’m contacting you today is to see if you could donate a signed picture or piece of memorabilia that we could use for our 2011 charity auction for Parrot Care and Rehabilitation. We really would be grateful for anything received.
Thankfully a lot of the Parrot Care birds can be rehomed after receiving veterinary care, but the ones that cannot be rehabiliated stay at the Parrot Care centre where they are cared for, for the rest of their lives. This is where most of the funds at the charity are used and the reason we require help.
